I don’t ask for much, really. Most of all if the sun is shining and it’s
warm enough to eat outside in January. So, if you run a restaurant by the beach, if
you have a few tables, a cluster of palm trees and decent people-watching,
you’re pretty much set with me. Except,
except… there is one thing I will not tolerate, ever: industrial, sugar+motor
oil, plastic-clad salad dressing. As far as I am concerned, if you can’t even
bother mixing salt, pepper, vinegar and oil together to pour on a few lettuce
leaves, then get another job.
Whatever else you served me that day was clearly not good
enough to make me forget the vinaigrette affront.
However, I’m on this whole new ‘benevolent’ phase thing, so
I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you just don’t know how to prepare a salad (I hear you’re actually not a cook, but that’s another
story). So, here, let Jamie show you:
